Here's our dainty little princess! She sure has fun getting messy outside. Unfortunately, this picture doesn't show how dirty she really was.

We all enjoyed the weather yesterday. We stayed outside most of the day and had a great time. Tom even helped me plant some flowers in the front. We'll see how they get along with my lack of a green-thumb. It's been the opposite today. It has been so WINDY! The kind of wind that makes you pray your house will stay intact. Yuck.

Hope the weather is treating everyone else a little bit better.

It seems that I am behind on keeping up with the blog. I am proud to say that as a Grandad I have been in attendance at a few of the Guymon children events. I sure appreciate Tom and Nance letting me come play farm boy occasionally. I truly enjoy staying with my kids and am preparing them for the day when I never leave( that will learn ya). It was great having Nance and the kids here for a few days even though I didn't see a lot them.
Just in case you have heard rumors I guess I should update everyone on the job situation. The ore haul is ending and things are kind of up in the air, however I, unlike someone else in my house, am not panicking. I am quite sure we will keep busy even if it is not as steady as it has been. I sure do love ya'll and look forward to hearing from you.

Kerry did promise me, and he came through! Now we just need something from Pam and Andrea. Drea, I really hope you'll write about your trip to L.A. and let us all know how it went.

I spent Monday-Thursday down in Blanding and had a lovely time. Mom and I got to play with her CUTE Hello Kitty cartridge on the cricut machine and I got to scrapbook a little bit too -- who'd 'a thunk! Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate with my visions of going to the park to play and having a picnic lunch. It was windy and chilly almost the whole time, darn it.

I set up a date with Mom, Dad, and Drea to watch The Mentalist together on Tuesday night. I was so excited, but don't think any of them were too impressed. Oh well! I like it.

Better a week late than never!!

Hey Everybody!!

   I promised Nancy last week that I would be sure and post before the week was over, and I want you to know, Nance, that I did try!!  I just forgot my password so I couldn't log in!!  I was so ashamed.  But thanks to Dad or whoever sending out the update e-mail to everyone I was able to get a new password and here I are!! I don't really feel like Ali and I have all that much news to share, but Ali did get another new student yesterday in her class, and I got a skillsaw for my birthday!! Thanks, everyone for calling and wishing me a happy 26th.  I don't feel any different yet, but I'm sure the denial will wear off soon.  Love you all!!

On Tom's family's blog, they've really been pushing everyone to post the kids' events for anyone who may be interested in attending. After yet another post that strongly encouraged this idea, Tom finally replied. I thought it was hilarious, so decided to share.

He says, "Well, I hate to hear that Amy is disgruntled with being left out of the kids schedules so hear is an update on my childrens performances. If you come any morning about 7:00 you can hear Kaden hollering down th stove pipe to let us all know he is awake and ready to feed the calfs, at 7:15 he will then comense hollering at the calfs as they eat. If you miss the performance tommorow you can probebly still get tickets for sunday.

Chante is putting on an exelent perfume show daily about 2:30 in the afternoon, if this is not a good time for you please inform Nancy as she could probebly let the performance last a bit longer before it begins to threaten the health of the attending audience."

So that's what our kids are up to, in case any of you happen to be interested, however, I can't promise anything concerning the perfume show unless I invest in a gas mask for all of us. Take care!

Congrats on the calf! Was that the cow you thought it would be? Are there are still two more to go? Nancy, you are amazing!

We got our second calf tonight. I even got to watch the birth, which thrilled me! Calf and mama are doing fine -- hooray!

We spent a delightful weekend at the Guymon's - just got home yesterday. We got to see their 5 little calves being fed, ride the 4-wheeler--even Mom (Nancy has pictures to prove it)--eat the most wonderful grilled burgers, play with some of the cutest grandkids ever and shop in Price! Dad had so much fun being a "weekend cowboy!" It does his heart good to be wearing 'green' boots again and be outdoors. We had a blast!! Thanks, Tom & Nancy!

Heard the baby's heartbeat yesterday! It's always so thrilling! Mostly I'm just glad to know for sure that something's in there. I kept worrying that I'd get there and they'd tell me that I was mistaken and not pregnant after all. Much relief! My estimated due date is September 18, which means I'm about a third of the way through. Crazy.

Still haven't made up my mind about keeping the gender a secret or finding out. I keep going back and forth!

We got snow last night, only a skiff here but westward it was enough that the trucks couldn't run this morning, and is cold today. Spring, where are you?

I don't really have anything to say except that I miss you all. I hope everyone is doing well. Love you!

I don't know if Tom emailed this to you guys or not, but it's pretty darn cool so I thought I'd share. His physics kids were supposed to make towers out of 25 little sticks and glue. Then he tested them by putting weights on top of them to see how strong they were. One girl (the ditzy blond -- go figure) came up with this design that held up 280 pounds before they simply ran out of weights. Pretty cool. Things are still going well, and he even said the other day that he thinks he'd like to teach for a career. Thanks to all the schools downsizing, he probably won't get a teaching job for quite a while, but you never know. I'm just glad his student teaching has been such a positive experience for him.
