Okay girls, here's the scoop. I made these super cute "JOY" letters during UEA with the Guymon girls and I thought it would be way fun for us to make them over Thanksgiving break! So if you're in favor you'll have to let me know BEFORE Thanksgiving so I can get the letters ordered and the other supplies. I'll supply everything but the letters. I can't remember exactly how much they are, but I think the set costs between $14-$16??? I know it's pricey for only three letters, but it would be SO much fun!

The "O" also has three holly leaves that go on the bottom. Do I need to say it again? SOOO cute! The letters are big -- the "J" and "Y" measure appox. 14" tall so keep that in mind as you decide.
No pressure for you to do it (seriously) just figured it didn't hurt to ask. We're way excited for Thanksgiving!

P.S.- We are planning on furnishing 2 cherry and 2 pecan pies and anything else you need us to, Mom.

Campground Directions

Here are the directions, courtesy of Tom. If they are too confusing, well . . . too bad. j/k Call us if you have any questions.

For those of you coming from the south, proceed to the beautiful oasis known as Huntington as you always do. As you leave the lone and dreary world and round the bend to look down the lushous beauty of main street one will observe a highway branching and proceeding in a westwardly direction, upon this intersection is a sign with the insignia “Fairview” inscribed upon it. Realizing that you will be deprived of the rich experience of driving in downtown Huntington, one would beg that you detour and follow the highway leading to the west. For has it not always been so? Have we not always looked to the west for our dreams? Proceeding in the direction chosen you will find yourself entering a world of beauty beyond imagination. No, you are not in the process of death and seeing the celestial glory before you; this exhilaration of your blood is brought on by what the locals refer to as “Huningtn’ Cany’n”. Going up the canyon you'll pass 2 reservoirs one on the right, then one on the left, take the next major (still gravel) road going south. There will be a “BAYLES” sign to mark this road. (also it is marked to go to Joes Valley or Orangeville). Go about 6-7 miles on this road and watch for 2nd “BAYLES” sign. You’re here!!! The entrance to where we are camping is a bit rough, Honk and we will come get you.

For those coming from the North. Head up Spanish fork cayyon as if going to Price, About 15 miles (I think) in there is an intersection marked “Fairview, Manti” Take it. When you hit Fairview head east up Fairview canyon (I think it has a Huntington sign at the turn) go up over the skyline and start down the other side you will pass a reservoir (mammoth) on the right side of the road. (about 30 miles I am guessing) Next big road heading south is the one.

Auntie Bonnie is home and Hunky Craig is gone

Hi Everyone!
Here's a pic of when we went to the airport when Bonnie came home from her mission. She was sooooo excited to see Kate!
We also couldn't resist a picture of Kate's new hairdo, for those of you who haven't seen it.

Oregon Trip!

As Kerry would say, what a rush! What a great trip! We really enjoyed spending time with mom and dad, grandma, and Aunt Susie and Uncle Jim. We saw a few beaches, toured some lighthouses, and even ate some seafood (we loved the almond shrimp!). The scrapbook is already underway, so we'd be happy to share all our pictures with you sometime! :)

Gatlin's First Shiner

He hit the corner of his eye on the lip of the stove. It bled pretty bad and left a nice trophy.

Ode to the Binkie

This is Kate's new favorite thing to do. She's been doing this for 5-10 minutes at a time. Notice that she is surrounded by toys but enthralled by the binkie. What a funny girl!

Birthday Boy!

Kaden had a lot of fun on his birthday and his favorite present came from Granna and Grandad. It's my favorite present as well because it keeps him entertained for quite a while. ;) Thanks a bunch! (Make sure to take notice of Tay*Tay in this one. Hahaha!)

The favorite toy

Noisy Kate

Well, for anybody who was worried because Kate was a little subdued over the weekend, don't be! She's back to her normal rowdy self, and here's a video to prove it! I guess she was just a little overwhelmed by it all this weekend, but she's good now! Thanks for the fun, everybody!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Our heartiest congrats to Pam on being chosen for Graduate School! Wahoo! Keep us posted about the job situation, hope you get a good one!
We're looking forward to Easter, too. Wow, won't it be fun with all the Easter bunnies that will be here bringing candy. Our bunny usually only brings the chocolate kind - yum! Can't wait to see all.
Thanks to everyone for a fun trip up your way last week, we had a good time! See you soon!

Nothin' Much

I just wanted to say that I had so much fun seeing all of you (wish I could have seen Kerry, Ali, and Kate too). It sounds like most of us are celebrating Easter in Blanding which will be fun! I can't wait! I think Kaden and Tay will really enjoy hunting for eggs this year. And Mom, our Easter Bunny even said he'd make a special trip to Blanding just for us since he figures the Blanding bunny will already have a lot of baskets to fill. :) Sure do love you all and hope you're enjoying fine weather!

We've really enjoyed all the snow that has fallen here. Kaden, Chantee, Tom, and I have built a few snowmen, had snowball fights, and snowmobiled up at the cabin. It's been lots of fun.

In spite of all the fun, we are still coming down with a bad case of spring fever. The kids wanted to have a picnic today. :)

Just wanted to show you the chicken coop. So far we still have 17 chickens -- hooray!

Good news

Some of you have heard and some of you haven't, but just so everyone knows -- Tom now has a job. Hooray! He's working at the batch plant for Nielson's again and we are relieved to have the promise of a pay check coming in regularly. Thanks for your constant support in the things that we do. We appreciate all you do for us.

Kate is huge!! (well, at least to us she is!)

Hey all,
This is Ali. We just wanted to give an update on how we're doing! As you can see, Kate is now smiling like crazy and cooing at us, and also straightens her legs and puts weight on them for longer and longer periods of time! She is also eating like nobody's business, and is still a good sleeper, except for last night. As of last Tuesday, she was 9 lbs. 9 oz., which means she's doing great on the weight gain. I was really shocked she was that big already. We were still using newborn size diapers because I didn't think she was big enough for the next size, but when we found that out we finished up the pack we were on and moved her up. Seriously, I should have realized it before because the diapers really were getting small on her. Poor girl, squeezed into too-tight diapers!
As for Kerry and I, we're both really sad that I'm going back to work tomorrow. Hooray for my mom for watching Kate for us, but it doesn't make it any less hard to not be the one to be mommy all the time! Well, only 4 months to go.....
Love you all!
Ali

NO this is not New York. This is our very own Blanding where it seems we are always praying for rain and snow. Beware what you pray for and have your shovels handy. It seems we just get dug out when the next one hits. Needless to say the Lord has answered our prayers in abundance. Just hope our backs can handle all the blessings.
