I didn't realize at the time that I was taking a video instead of a picture (I sound like that old couple on youtube already), but I'm glad I did so you can see how he actually walked like a robot! It wasn't by choice but it added to the awesomeness of the costume (made by Josh)

Halloween 2011

Well, here are the official pics! We had a blast carving pumpkins, going to halloween parties, and going trick-or-treating. Kate especially loved the pumpkins. I'm all sad that we didn't get a head-to-toe picture of her costume, though. She didn't like the hat, so the pictures we ended up with are only part of her instead of the whole effect, but you get the idea.

Paper Project, Couch, and Kate the Reader

Hey all,

I wanted to post the finished product of the project I worked on at Tom and Nancy's the other weekend, as well as a picture of our "new" couch from our neighbors. It's definitely nice not to have a futon as a front room couch anymore. And I couldn't resist posting this video of Kate reading the beginning of her current favorite story. It's called Polly's Pink Pajamas. Sorry that it's sideways. Maybe one day we'll learn that we have to take video the right way :)
